writer

I write for both theatre and screen. My theatre work is, predominantly, for young audiences ranging from a play for babies being produced next year with Appletree Theatre and Film Co, to a full length stage musicals and touring pieces. I now have a funded screenplay for a feature film in development and interest from a producer. I also wrote a couple of screen shorts, which won through to the final of The Waterford Film Festival short screenplay in consecutive years.

I, recently, ran a successful screenwriting project in secondary schools, as part of the Warwick Words Literary Festival and have worked with primary school pupils on a screenwriting project too.

Campbell Perry is a talented and engaging writer, with a real gift for working with children and young people and in various community settings. He is dependable and conscientious and I recommend him highly.

Jonathan Davidson, Chief Executive Writing West Midlands

Campbell has worked on helping to bring the Working Lives, oral project to life. Working with schools in Nuneaton and Bedworth, he has worked on creating songs and drama based on the oral history source. This involved the children in exciting and novel pieces of work. Library staff helping at the event really enjoyed the days.
